As the winter season is upon us, Chicago residents prepare for the months ahead of snow, sleet and bitter cold.
Many Chicagoans can’t afford proper cold-weather essentials to get them through the harsh weather conditions and far too often go without protective gear. Thankfully, there is hope for those individuals and it’s through the Chicago-based volunteer organization, Chicago Cares. This year, Credico donated hats and gloves to Chicago Cares to do its part in helping out the local community.
Chicago Cares hosts Warm Up Chicago to help underprivileged residents of the Windy City keep warm during the colder months. The program is the only citywide drive that collects essential winter accessories (hats and gloves) and donates the items to Chicagoans in need.
As dedicated leaders in the field of outsourcing sales, Credico takes its corporate and social responsibility to help local organizations throughout the year. Credico first participated in the Warm Up Chicago drive in 2015 and continues to dedicate its resources to help out organizations such as Chicago Cares.
Credico employees collected over 50 hats and gloves during the month of December. Every item given to Chicago Cares will help reach their goal of collecting 15,000 hats and gloves to give to youth and adults through their community partners.
By participating in the drive, Credico and its employees can help restore hope and happiness to the local community that is most in need. Giving back to the community is an important aspect of the company culture at Credico, and it helps get employees involved in local charitable organizations.
