Credico was delighted to confirm that their team received the highest amount of donations for this year’s Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon initiative last month, raising a total of $6,620 to support volunteer projects all across the city.

Logging a collective 20,000 hours of work to help improve Chicago neighborhoods, 5,000 volunteers fixed up 28 schools, senior homes and nonprofit facilities this weekend. Credico’s fundraising team gave up part of their weekend to revitalize a local elementary school by constructing plywood murals, creating tile mosaics and painting playground maps for the kids. The firm has volunteered for the last five consecutive years at the Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon. The collective work undertaken this year by Chicago Cares saved $3 million in facility improvements for Chicago Public Schools.

In addition to helping out over the weekend, an initial fundraising target of $5,000 had been set. Credico’s Chief Client Services Officer Jean Broaddus was delighted that this benchmark was surpassed in style:

“This year’s event was a huge success. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who gave up their free time or donated to such an important cause. As promised, corporate is going to match the total figure we raised which embodies Credico’s commitment to ensuring the next generation of Chicagoans thrive.”

Credico, the innovative leaders in outsourced sales, understand the power of volunteering, and realize that it is necessary in order to build a stronger, more unified Chicago. Studies have shown that students and teachers perform better in work environments that are stimulating and visually enticing, and the collective effort by all fundraising teams at the Serve-a-thon will send positive messages to Chicago’s students and help them succeed upon their return in August.

“Credico would like to congratulate Chicago Cares for piecing together another successful event in our community. We already look forward to volunteering again next year,” stated Jean Broaddus.

Founded in 1991, Credico connects internationally recognized brands with high-quality, local-market outsourced sales teams that help clients acquire new customers via retail, events, door-to-door and street market sales. Credico has quadrupled its partnerships around the world over the past 10 years and has increased new customer acquisition at a generous rate year-over-year.
